“I chose bobsled, a sport that requires major dedication and sacrifice to accomplish. I had two major roadblocks in front of me once I talked my way into a tryout.”
“First, the average weight of a bobsledder is over 215 lbs, and I only weighed 152 lbs. Second, I hadn’t competed for over nine years. So I looked to my mentor Chris Watson to become athletic enough for a spot on the USA National Team.”
“Within 10 months, using a program that would become the basis for our Pinnacle of Power method, I had put on 45 lbs of muscle and was consistently recording vertical jumps of 42 inches. In the end, priorities in my life brought an end to my Olympic pursuit, but I succeeded in working out the details of the program of strength conditioning I now apply to my professional clients.”
